Welcome to Cross Walkers of Central Florida.
We started out as a group of friends and family who went out weekly to clothe and feed the homeless in Orlando, Florida during 2012. We then noticed that the homeless needed something more than food and clothes, they needed Jesus-the Bread of Life, so we started to pray over them, give them bible verses, then bibles, but most importantly we gave them love and hugs. We got to know them and became friends with many of them.
Many times it was they that ministered to us, teaching us about the mistakes made in life, and the struggles to overcome. They taught us that no matter what happens God calls to them. Many times they lead our prayer and blessed us. I met the strongest Christians in the dark places, under bridges and bushes rather than sitting in the pews of the most lighted grand churches in America.
We started to sing Christian songs to them with our impromptu choir and we started to provide bikes after seeing the need to travel directly to a new job. The mission we were handed started to show the love of Jesus in a multidimensional way, it started to evolve and grow.
Starting January of 2013 we sacrificed every Saturday night to go into the dark places, find the homeless and feed and minister to them. As of April 15, 2013, in Downtown Orlando and Downtown Kissimmee, we have given out 675 meals, numerous pounds of clothes and shoes, 56 Bibles, and 3 donated bikes and we continue to march forward in our mission!
Our Mission is to go into the dark places and minister to the least of God's people, to feed them, clothe them, help them and let them know the love of Jesus Christ.
